A Message from the Principal:
June is a time to celebrate the end of the school year, upcoming summer fun, and the anticipation of what the future will hold. As a school community we are happy to celebrate the successes of all of our students from kindergarten through high school. Each student will continue on his/her personal journey toward becoming lifetime learners with the support of their families, friends, and teachers. The lyrics of the old Carpenter’s song come to mind when I think of our students ‘They’ve only just begun to live…with promises for the future… with gifts of love and we send them on their way.I am sure there will be a few tears at the closing celebrations!!
Our kindergarten students will participate in their final celebrations at the Kindergarten Academy during the week of June 9th. I am proud of the kindergarten program your children have completed and all that they have accomplished during this school year. All of the teachers, support staff, instructional assistants, and the office staff extend our thanks and best wishes to our KA families for a safe, happy, and healthy summer. We have enjoyed working with the children and will miss them!! Remember to continue learning with your children this summer by visiting the library, reading at home, and creating learning opportunities while on vacation. Many students will enjoy continuing to grow as writers by creating a journal, writing to relatives, and creating fun summer stories.
I would also like to extend my personal thanks to all of you for making this year at the KA a memorable one. It was a pleasure to work with each of you and your children.Thank you for all you do as parents and guardians, to inspire, motivate, and support your children.
Ms. DeSanctis- KA Principal
